Our los if California dreaming becomes reality for babe Nadine

Pop babe Nadine Coyle could be setting up home in Los Angeles BEFORE Posh and Becks - if her boyfriend has his way.

Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe wants Nadine to quit Girls Aloud and join him in Tinseltown, where he's convinced she can hit the big time.

Rumours have circulated for months that the chart-topping band are at war and set to split.

They had a hugely-successful tour last year and their greatest hits collection was another monster seller.

But music insiders are predicting that the break-up is not far off and believe Nadine is ready to launch a solo career in the US.

Nadine (21) has already made more than £1.5m and enjoyed four No 1 records.

She has consistently denied any plans to split from Girls Aloud and insists that her long-distance relationship with Jesse (28) is not a problem.

But one source close to the singer - who has been voted one of the sexiest women on the planet - told Sunday Life: "Nadine and Jesse are the real deal and can't bear to be parted from each other.

"They both know that Girls Aloud have gone about as far as they can go.

"Jesse is desperate for her to set up home with him in LA and a number of agents are already bidding to guide her career there.

"At the end of the day, she's a great singer and Girls Aloud need her more than she needs them.

"Jesse wants to get married but he's convinced that their future together has to be in LA."

Nadine, who recently faced a traumatic court appearance after an alleged drugs gang burst into her flat in north London 18 months ago, also owns a modest semi-detached property in Londonderry.

One friend in the Maiden City said: "She and Jesse were made for each other and you could see that when they were here together over the festive period.

"Most of us believe she will go to LA before the summer because it's a fabulous lifestyle.

"But when they marry, it will be back home in Derry - Nadine will insist on that!"
